Delowar Hosen: A Journey in Water Treatment and Sustainable Solutions

Introduction

In today’s world, the demand for clean water and effective wastewater management is growing rapidly. As a Chemical Engineer specializing in water treatment, I, Delowar Hosen, have dedicated my career to providing solutions that not only meet industrial and drinking water needs but also contribute to a sustainable future. My journey in the water treatment sector spans several years, with a focus on both installation and operation of water treatment plants (WTP) and effluent treatment plants (ETP).

My Experience in Water Treatment

I began my career in 2009 as a Services Engineer at Evergreen Technology Co. Ltd., working on water treatment plants for industrial use and drinking water. From 2009 to 2010, and then again since 2023, I have been leading projects in installation, operation, and after servicing of water treatment systems. My focus has always been on delivering high-quality solutions to ensure water safety and sustainability.

During my time at Techchem International from 2010 to 2012, I worked as an ETP Operation Officer. There, I played a key role in developing low-cost chemical solutions for effluent treatment plants, providing practical, cost-effective alternatives to enhance the efficiency of water purification processes. This experience gave me a deep understanding of how vital it is to optimize resources while maintaining quality in water treatment.

From 2015 to 2017, I worked at Fahami Washing Plant as an ETP Executive, where I supervised operators and managed operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the plant. I also focused on sustainable development projects, aiming to reduce environmental impact through innovative water treatment techniques.

Passion for Sustainability and Learning

Beyond my professional achievements, I have always been passionate about sustainable solutions in water treatment. My commitment to continuous learning drives me to explore new methods and technologies in the field. In my spare time, I indulge in reading about humanity and philosophy, which further inspires me to look at water treatment as a vital part of global well-being. I believe in balancing technological advancements with environmental responsibility.

Personal Interests and Hobbies

When I’m not working on water treatment projects, I enjoy spending my time reading books, watching movies, and traveling. Exploring different cultures and ideas helps broaden my perspective, which I believe is essential in my line of work. My goal is to continue learning and evolving both as a professional and an individual.

Future Goals

My future ambitions include advancing my career in Bangladesh’s water treatment sector. I aim to continue developing and implementing sustainable water treatment technologies that can help industries reduce their environmental footprint while ensuring access to clean water. As I continue this journey, I hope to reach the pinnacle of personal and professional success, Inshallah.
