Hello, I’m Shahajan Miah, an academic leader, researcher, and lifelong learner with over 16 years of experience in physics education, administration, and curriculum development. Currently, I’m pursuing a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. My research focuses on the “Transmutation of Transuranium for Nuclear Fuels and Effective Way of Nuclear Waste Management,” aligned with Bangladesh’s pioneering nuclear initiative, the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP), featuring the latest Russian VVER-1200 PWR model. As part of this national effort, my research contributes to cultivating expertise and gathering technical insights into this advanced reactor technology.

As Principal at Sylhet Professional Technical Institute (SPTI) in Sylhet, Bangladesh, I balance administrative responsibilities with the rewarding task of teaching. My experience as an Assistant Professor at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has shaped my approach to curriculum development and student mentorship. At BUBT, I supervised 10 student projects, equipping students with essential skills in engineering and applied physics. My six-year tenure as the Academic Coordinator in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at BUBT honed my leadership abilities, where I collaborated with faculty, managed academic calendars, and fostered communication between students and administration. I also have expertise in teaching A-level and O-level Physics in the Cambridge curriculum, focused on building a strong STEM foundation for students.

In my dedication to research and academic excellence, I have published 23 papers in reputed journals and authored two books. In recognition of my contributions, I was honored with the Best Research Award by BUBT in 2022. I believe in a collaborative approach to teaching, inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers and thinkers.

Beyond academics, I serve as a Digital Marketing Specialist at EAgencybd, where I apply my expertise in Google Ads and content strategy to drive brand growth. With a data-driven approach, I work with my team to create impactful campaigns that enhance EAgencybd’s digital presence, resonating with audiences and delivering measurable results.

My commitment to personal and professional growth is reflected in the completion of several short courses, including “MidJourney & ChatGPT: AI for Social Media Content Generation Master Class,” “Certificate Course in Leadership Excellence,” “Emotional Intelligence,” “Digital Marketing,” training in “Professional Correspondence (Email Writing),” and video editing.
